1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Keido, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our service. We may update these terms as the app grows — continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
2. What Keido is
Keido is a specialty coffee discovery and social platform. You can discover coffee shops, roasters, distributors, and farms; log and rate coffees using SCA-based sensory attributes; follow other enthusiasts; and explore coffee education content.
Keido is currently in public beta. Features may change, and we are actively improving the service based on user feedback.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please provide accurate information when signing up. You may not create accounts for others without their consent or use another person's account.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the reviews, photos, and notes you post on Keido. By posting content, you grant Keido a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content in connection with the service — for example, showing your review on a coffee's page.
You are responsible for ensuring your content is accurate, not misleading, and does not violate any laws or third-party rights. Do not post content that is harassing, defamatory, or fraudulent.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Keido to harass other users, post false reviews or fake ratings, send spam or unsolicited messages, attempt to access accounts or systems you are not authorized to use, or interfere with the operation of the service.
We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms.
6. Business profiles and paid features
Coffee businesses (shops, roasters, distributors, and farms) may claim and manage a profile on Keido. Basic business profiles are free and will always have a free tier.
In the future, Keido will offer optional paid features for businesses — such as the ability to feature specific coffees or promote their profile to nearby enthusiasts. These features are voluntary and purchased by the business. Promoted content will always be clearly labeled so users can distinguish it from organic reviews and listings.
Keido does not guarantee any particular outcome (traffic, reviews, or sales) from paid features.
7. Affiliate links and commercial relationships
Keido may include affiliate links to coffee products, equipment, subscriptions, or educational resources. If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, Keido may earn a commission. This costs you nothing extra.
Any page or section containing affiliate links will include a clear disclosure. We only include affiliate links for products and services we believe are relevant and useful to the specialty coffee community.
8. Third-party services
Keido integrates with third-party services including Google Maps, Supabase, and Vercel. Your use of features powered by these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. Links to relevant policies are included in our Privacy Policy.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
Keido is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of user-generated content, including coffee ratings and business information. Use your own judgment when acting on reviews or recommendations.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Keido and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim (which may be zero for free users).
